Dianne grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and was a member of a local swim team, and a WSI certified lifeguard who taught swimming for the Red Cross. Dianne attended college at Carnegie Mellon Tech and Indiana University, where she was also on the competitive swim team. Dianne has been teaching for over 35 years. She was a Master Instructor for Infant Swimming Resource (ISR). Over more than 30 years, she has taught thousands of children, mentored dozens of instructors and trained over 20 new instructors.
Alanna could swim before she could walk! She has now been teaching swimming and aquatic survival techniques for over 15 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from USF with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Alanna and Dianne are both trained in child psychology, physiology, behaviorism and development, early childhood education, anatomy and physics. The American Heart Association certifies both Alanna and Dianne in Oxygen Administration, First Aid and CPR.
